when I start BSM than port 8443 is used. Can I change this port to another port. ps. I have change \HPBSM\EJBContainer\server\mercury\deploy\jboss-web.deployer\server.xml and change every parameter from 8443 to 9443 but when I start BSM service 8443 is still running thank you for your help.
Hi All, In HP SHA 9.20 version We don't have Run Book link, So After integrate with HP BSM 9.20 WITH HP OO, How to work with HP SHA 9.20 and HP 00, is there any steps. We foun One option, .. The only part within SHA where OO run-book drilldowns can be seen are within Topology View and that too when the CI select is an "Infrastructure element" CI and ther is a runbook associated with it. So , may i know how and where i will get "Infrastructure element" CI, beacuse we are using cpu and memory purpose we are using test vm's sitescope cis Please reply asap , beacause urgent deliverables are there. I am having few queries regarding HP BSM architecture and your help will be greatly appreciated for the same. As per my understanding there are two ways BSM can be implemented, 1) Single server deployment: both DPS and Gateway server on single server àHow can we have HA in such cases where both DPS and Gateway are on same server, do we need to deploy another BSM on other single server and configure primary and backup between these two servers? Please confirm if this is possible. 2)Deploy 2 BSM gateway servers over 1 hardware load balancer(active active mode) and 2 DPS servers (active passive mode). Please confirm if this is correct way. Our requirement is that, we have only 2 servers given for HP BSM and we need to configure high availability for BSM application, how can we proceed in such scenario.
Hi, Could anyone please suggest how to simulate the Send/Receive action in Outlook in a MAPI script? I am using the MAPI script to send mail from one mailbox to another. However, unless I open the Outlook client to download the mails, the MAPI script does not read the new mail that is received by the second mailbox. I have even tried to loop through all the mails around 10 times with a 30 second delay (i.e. 5 minutes), however, the MAPI script does not seem to read any new incoming mails unless the Outlook client is explicitly opened to download the mails. I have a unique issue here (could very well be 2 separate issues)-- First, I was previously running SiS 10.10 on Windows 2003 server (running from a desktop machine) and I had no issue with timing on the machine-- what I mean by this is in the Preferences-->Infrastructure Preferences-->General Settings section, the 'Time Zone' offset value is set at '-999' and Sitescope works fine (no issues with timing or scheduling within the application). I then migrated that same SiS version (10.10) to a new server class machine in our data center running Windows 2008 R2, but I noticed that timing inside of SiS was completely off. I changed the time zone offset to '4', and the timing seems to have been corrected, but there are certain things I am no longer able to do. Most important of these is disabling monitors on a time schedule (i.e. from 7pm to 10pm) and disabling monitors for the next X amount of mins/hours/days... Has anybody seen an issue like this before?? Does this have anything to do with the Hardware I am running on?? Please let me know of any ideas/comments/questions you have.... Thanks in advance

Hi to all developpers! I got a Security alert from our security officer. Our passwords, even if they are crypted, any advanced user can decode it using lr_decrypt function or Passowrd Encoder tool.
We had to find another solution to improve password security storage in our script. I'm thinking on a codage using a private key to decode the password. The problem is to implement the dectyptage on the BPM.
Have anybody implemented a better and secure solution ? Thanks you for any help, any suggestion or the solution. Georges
Hello baord I am trying to set up an enrichment rule which should only delete one relationship in the query matches. For this i have set up a query im Modeling Studio and saved this query as enrichment query. The reason why i have done it this way is because we are using some virtual joins in the query to compare attributes of the query node. The enrichement manager UI would not let me select all CI attributes to be compared in the virtual join. So we have the new enrichment rule set up based on the existing query made in Modeling Studio. Now based on this rule i only need to delete on single relationship of type containment from the query result. Once i have configured this in the enrichment mode i can not save the rule because i am getting the error below. As you can see from the attached screenshot only the single containment link should be deleted. Now i have done this i a few times in the past and i am pretty sure it should not be a problem to delete only a single link. So i don't see a reason why this rule should not work. Any suggestion is obviously very much welcome

Hi Team, We are monitoring two different transactions web1 and web2 individually for one of the critical applications. We are commiting SLA 100% to 3rd Party vendor Now Challenge BSM should generate Service report in which if either web1 service is not available it should check the report for web2 . At the Day end it should generate the report consolidation both of web1 and web2 If web1 and web2 both are down than only it should impact my SLA calculation. Hi Experts, I need your attention on this : We have a SiteScope Instance running on one VM. Now, the requirement is to shift the instance to a physical machine. We have installed SIS using the same installables on the physical machine and also imported the existing configuration(from VM) to the physical machine. During the entire configuration(on the physical machine), i haven't selected any license file. Now, as per observation, with the SIS Instance set up on the physical machine(it is a test machine where we are testing the entire setup), the SIS instance on the VM is running extremely slow. When i login, it says, tries to open the monitor engine. It is taking almost 20 mints to come to the main dashboard. My query is: Has the new instance of SIS(on the physical machine), got to do anything with the slowness of the tool in the VM ? Please Note: when i uninstalled the instance from the physical machine, the speed on the VM is fine. Am i going anything wrong in the steps? What should i do to perform a fresh installation on the physical machine (given the fact that we cannot copy the VM to Physical machine) Requesting your help on this. Hi, we have the following data retention settings in place for BPM data. 
These have been in place a while and the profile db size has remained consistent, then all of a sudden over the last couple of months the Profile db has grown by around 20GB with no explanation, relatively the same amount of transactions/bpms etc.. The following sql returns the oldest and newest dbdate timestamp in the bpm_events_10000 table. select max(dbdate) from profile.dbo.bpm_trans_10000

Dear Experts, My client's environment is very big, therefore we run into many issues with the discovering process being very slow, or the UI lagging etc. They did not give us that much time for this project and we are currently trying to figure out ways to just discover what we need first and worry about the other things later. Is there any way to discover just CIs such as nodes, or any network devices and leave out all the other CIs such as interfaces or any relationships etc? Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks,

Dear experts, Our client wants us to do a simple discovery, however we are running into issues, probably because the IT infrastructure is too big and maybe not enough probes. We would like to simplify discovery by maybe just discovering CIs (nodes, routers, switches, etc) and there is no need for discovery to create the relationships between the nodes or routers, etc. Once we discover those specific CIs, we would also like discovery to populate the attribute "primarydnsname" as we would need this to populate other attributes. We were wondering if it was possible to do this because the OTB for the "DNSResolver" job, the trigger query is a node connected with a containment relationship to ipaddress. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks,
