At the HP Discover event in Las Vegas in June HP released v9.30 of the HP IT Executive Scorecard. This version has a number of important updates that simplify the link between IT performance and business value. Executive Scorecard is built on a unique data model that enables financial and performance information to be combined from many different IT sources. It then presents that in a dashboard and balanced scorecard built from best-practice components and includes hundreds of out of the box KPIs.
“Executive Scorecard is no longer just for executives” said Uri Maoz, product manager. “We are finding that our customers want hundreds of people in their organizations to benefit from an aggregated view of performance that has a business perspective. A client in manufacturing is using Scorecard to bring data together from multiple instances of Service Manager and combining it with BSM information. This gives service owners new insights into the business perception of their services.”
Some of the new capabilities in v9.30 of Executive Scorecard include:
- Embedding – embed Scorecard screens in SharePoint, HP Cloud Services Automation, or other dashboards, or embed other web pages in Executive Scorecard (like BSM real-time data)
- New mobile client – access the same browser-based dashboard data from your iOS, Android or Windows 8 tablet
- Self-service UI – allow the user to try different data and drill-down views without having to rebuild dashboards
