How do you and your colleagues learn about new technology? When, for example, you read a headline crawl or an RSS feed and you want to know more? News sources give you the what and the why, but if you want to learn how, you usually have to wade through pages of marketing material that come up with your key word searches. Good luck finding info you can use!
Our goal with TechBeacon and TechBeacon Learn is to change that experience. For the past 2.5 years we have commited to objective, non-marketing, non-branded content that helps curious readers understand
- what tech and IT trends really matter
- how to solve day-to-day problems with proven best practices
- how to make technology decisions
We publish the industry experts that can help practitioners understand the issues, without bogging you down with marketing messages from our sponsor. (We know you can find that when you’re ready.)
New learning tracks
Since the last edition of the Vivit newsletter, we’ve launched four new tracks on our TechBeacon Learn education site:
Application security – focused on the principles and techniques can help software dev teams stay ahead of threats.
ChatOps – offering efficient ChatOps techniques to communicate about, and automate responses to, critical events within their tech domain.
Secure DevOps – bringing together the design, development, and operational aspects of security into a single discipline for the software development process.
Software innovation for business leaders – a unique track for business leaders who need to understand how software gets developed, what techniques are important, and how their teams become successful. (This track is for your boss, in other words!)
Before the end of the year, we’ll also launch a new track on “Hybrid cloud management,” as we continue to add more learn units to all 10 of our existing tracks.
