Subject: Help with Creating Workflow with PPM 8.0
We have just completed our initial implementation of PPM 8.0 and I am in the process of building my first workflow. I did attend the PPM 8.0 Base Configuration training but the documentation associated with that training and the HP library is VERY limited as it relates to workflow development. What I am attempting to do is add a drop down list to a request type that contains a list of names for review of the request. The Initiator of the request would select a name from this list and the workflow would route the request to that person for review. I know how to just use the "Assigned to:" field to accomplish this but it makes the Initiator select from all PPM users - I want that list to be limited to just a handful of possible reviewers, not the entire PPM user community. Any ideas?

Hi, Not sure how youve setup your security model but you could create a new security group for your limited set of users and create a new validation which lists members of that new security group. Replace the existing validation with your new validation.'

Once you create the validation you'll need to use Tokens in the workflow to define the approvers based on that field.
