Test Type

I am trying to create a new test in the Test Plan of HP Quality Center. The only allowable choices to select from are the following:
- MANUAL
- WR-AUTOMATED
- VAPI-XP-TEST
- LR-SCENARIO
- SYSTEM-TEST
- ALT-SCENARIO

I added different names to the TestType lookup list but those new names do not appear when trying to create a new test. Is there something I am not doing to allow new Test Types to be selected?[/list]

Is there any specific tool you want to add in that list? HP does not support all testing tools.

If you want to add QTP , you first need to install QTP on that machine and also install the appropriate add-ins from QC Add-ins page.

Once you install that, you shall automatically see a new Test type as "QUICKTEST_TEST" in the list.
