Software Content on HPE Enterprise Community in Read-Only May 9 - 15

As you may have seen in the last few months, Hewlett Packard Enterprise is combining some software assets with Micro Focus. As part of this spin-merge with Micro Focus, a new Software instance of an online community will go live on May 16, 2017.

All boards within the current Software category will be located to a new community. All URLs will redirect to the new community. All current users will be migrated to the new community as well. Please be sure to update your bookmarks after May 16.

As part of the migration to a new Software instance, all software content will be in read-only mode from May 9 – 15. We apologize for any inconvenience.

HP CAE installed -- what to do next ?Open in a New Window

Hi

I have imported few machines in HP CAE Managment portal . Then installed  with hpca client with 

"nvdkit rma.tkd/bin/rma-mgt.tcl install -cfg rma.cfg " command. Now i can see device information in hpca management portal.

What should be the next thing to configure & what is the appropriate way to run this command on multiple machines .

Please suggest.

disable assigned services to be deployed on new agentOpen in a New Window

Hi, We are working on CAE 8.10 and we have many services configured before.

When we install the agent on new machine, all services are deployed on it.

I don't know on which group or OU these services are assigned. I checked all groups and OUs and didn't find anything.

one of these services are Google Chrome, and after agent installation is finished, it removed the chrome from the machine !!!

Please advise how can I find the default services that are assigned to groups or OUs to disable them witout affecting or uninstalling any software from agents?

In my company we're using HP Client Automation Entreprise, 
When attempting to deploy a new workstation, i get the error message: Timeout waiting for rm to register


1 - Do you have an explanation ? 

2 - What is the cause of that ?

3 - Has someone already deployed HPCA for among customers in different sites (Addressing / DNS) from the same core server ?

I am new to Client Automation and i tried to publish the software to database, but when i tried to open  client its closing with error " No Applications or services to install".

I would like to know why all machines are not repoorting in my reporting page, How can i achive this issue.

 

Device management -1160 Systems

Database Mentenece - 860 Systems

Reporting Machine CAS console-562

 

Database type SQL 2005

 

CAS ver 7.9

In regards to delivering large file and folder data, is there a technical limitation on the size or is HPCA purely dependant on bandwidth capabulity available?

 

Looking to deliver out 20GB local VM's (VMware Player) to around 100 users and wished to know definitively? If this was theoretically possible.

 

Radia Packager - ErrorOpen in a New Window

Hi,

 

Tried to promote an exe file using Radia Client Automation Administator Packager.

 

During the second scan cycle, the packager detects the difference between before and after scan. While we try to promte the difference, it throws an error stating "Promote Complete with error[PromoteObjectError(150)".
