Micro Focus Awarded Prime Status by Leading Ratings Agency

Posted By Julie McCallum, Thursday, September 10, 2020
Updated: Tuesday, September 8, 2020

Micro Focus has been awarded Prime Status for its Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) performance by the Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), further underpinning its commitment as a socially responsible organization.

The ISS Prime Status is only awarded to companies with an ESG performance above the sector-specific Prime threshold, which means that they fulfil ambitious absolute performance requirements.

At Micro Focus, behaving responsibly as an organization, both internally for our employees and externally within the marketplace, communities, and environment is a fundamental principle for our operations around the globe. It is also a key factor for customers when choosing their business partners. This is brought together by Micro Focus INSPIRE, our corporate social responsibility (CSR) program that covers every aspect of how we do business – from how we manage relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, employees and local communities; to how we play our part in shifting to a lower carbon economy and reducing the effects of climate change.

Sarah Atkinson, Director, CSR, Micro Focus, said: “Being awarded Prime Status for our ESG performance highlights our ongoing efforts to ensure Micro Focus is well governed, and operates ethically and sustainably across all interactions with our customers, partners, employees and local communities. This is aligned under the five pillars of Micro Focus INSPIRE, ensuring we continue to demonstrate strong social responsibility values at Micro Focus.”

INSPIRE 20 Podcast Series

Posted By Genefa Murphy, Thursday, August 6, 2020
Updated: Tuesday, August 4, 2020

The 4th installment of INSPIRE 20 features a Podcast with Anjuan Simmons, a leader in tech and an industry speaker on inclusion and diversity. Anjuan is currently an engineering coach at Help Scout and has worked at some of the largest consultancy firms including Infosys, Deloitte and Accenture.

In this podcast, Anjuan takes his experiences and talks about the concept of Lending Privilege and gives practical examples of how we can all apply this principle to the workplace using everyday stories to make it more relatable. He also very clearly states that there is a difference between diversifying and being inclusive, and says that we need to go further and ensure we help to encourage belonging.

Anjuan is a great speaker and helps, as he would say bring “clarity to chaos” in this difficult topic.
