  • Susan has worked in education and training for almost 20 years.
  • She’s highly respected in her field with a strong track record in product development and helping companies get the most from their people through inspirational training programs.
  • Susan leads HP Software’s worldwide team focused on emerging technologies for education. 
  • Her responsibilities include market analysis, product strategy and marketing. She also runs virtual teams, pulling together and focusing a diverse range of talents – including internal and external designers and product development groups – to create new training solutions for customer and partners.
  • Susan regularly presents at HP conferences.
  • Susan has devoted her career to helping people perform better through training and prior to joining HP she held a variety of senior positions in high profile organizations.
  • Her experience includes spells at Lawson Software, Higher Technology Solutions (an Oracle Higher Education Partner) and PeopleSoft where Susan rose to the senior position of Director of Education for Public Services.
  • Outside of the office Susan spends her time in the great outdoors running, hiking, travel and sailing.

Malcolm Poulin,

Director of Product Strategy

  • Mal has been in the corporate learning and performance field for over 33 years.
  • Currently as Senior Director of Product Strategy for ANCILE Solutions, Mal’s focus is on achieving business value by enabling learning and performance strategies.
  • While at RWD and SAP Education for the prior 15 years, he assessed customer business needs and market trends. The results have been new and different ways to address these needs and support companies in their mission of optimizing employee performance across the enterprise.
  • For the preceding sixteen years, Mal held several positions in Education Services at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Cushing Anderson

Program Vice President
Project-Based Services IDC

  • Cushing Anderson is program vice president for IDC's Project-Based Services research. In this role, Mr. Anderson is responsible for managing the research agenda, field research, and custom research projects for IDC's Business Consulting, Human Resources and Learning research programs.
  • Mr. Anderson has been actively investigating the link between strategic business planning and training in the extended enterprise.
  • He has also extensively researched the value of partner certification programs to software companies, and the key motivations to engaging business consulting firms.
  • Mr. Anderson speaks on a variety of topics including business consulting drivers, talent and the impact of certification on organizational performance.
  • He was selected by IDC clients as the "Analyst of the Year" in 2008 and was named as one of the "Top 20 people to watch in corporate training, 2003" by Lifelong Learning Market Report.
  • He is on the editorial advisory board and writes a regular column for the industry magazine CLO - Chief Learning Officer and has been on the steering committee for the Technology Learning Group for the industry association CompTIA.
  • Mr. Anderson also co-authored IDC's best selling bulletin in 2000 predicting the rise and challenges facing the corporate elearning market.
  • Before rejoining the Worldwide Services research team, Mr. Anderson was a research director in IDC's Software Business Strategies group, and was responsible for managing the Partnering, Alliances and Licensing research services and IDC's Software Alliance Executive Council. Mr. Anderson worked with clients to identify key business challenges and opportunities and to uncover the impact of alliance relationships to improve a company's go-to-market success.
  • Prior to joining IDC, Mr. Anderson worked as a consultant for the Center for Educational Leadership and Technology (CELT, Corp.). Mr. Anderson was responsible for evaluating and developing strategic curriculum and technology plans, as well as professional development and personnel evaluation programs for public school districts nationwide.
  • Mr. Anderson also worked as a technology and management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand LLP, providing technology analysis, planning and benchmarking services to businesses in a variety of industries.
  • Mr. Anderson was also a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy where he coordinated ocean-going transportation during the first Gulf War.
  • Mr. Anderson received a bachelor's degree in Government from Connecticut College and earned his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College's Graduate School of Education.
